Frequently Asked Questions

Booking Dog Parks

To book a session you will need to Register and create a Customer Account. You can do this here.
Once your account is set up you can then find your favourite dog park, choose the date you want to go, select the booking options you would like and follow the steps through to payment and booking confirmation. Your booking and session confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided in your Customer Account. That's it, you're ready to go!

Dogparks.uk works with Stripe, one of the worlds most trusted payment processors.
You can pay with major credit and debit cards.

Your support helps us provide dogparks.uk to park owners for free. To help us maintain and develop the service we charge a £1.00 booking fee, which is added on to the end of the booking. So, for example, for a £10 session, the total booking cost will be £11.00 (+VAT where applicable).

Once you're booking and payment is complete a booking confirmation will be sent to you via email. We'll also send you a booking reminder via SMS Message 24hrs before your session begins.

When you signed up you created a Customer Account. When you login all the information about your bookings and payments is shown in your Customer Account dashboard - look for the yellow person icon.

Please be aware that bookings are non-refundable. If, for any reason, you need to change a booking, it is possible to transfer your booking to an alternative date/time; however, currently there is no charge for any amendments. The only exception to this is when your chosen dog park needs to close or cancel a booking at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. In this circumstance, the dog park will offer the option to transfer your booking or accept a full refund. Please see the Terms of Service.

If the dog park cannot fulfil your booking for any reason, such as unforeseen closures due to adverse weather, the dog park will offer the option to transfer your booking to a new date/time (of your choice) or issue a refund. Please note that the Booking Fee is not refundable. Please see the Terms of Service.

General Dog Park Questions

The number of dogs you can bring to a session can vary at each dog park. When you book, there is a tab where you can select the number of dogs you wish to bring, from one dog to the maximum allowed option. Also, within the description provided for each dog park listing, there will usually be information about the maximum number of dogs (and people) allowed in a session.

Typically, the maximum number of people allowed in a session is two. Some dog parks allow you to bring additional guests; where this is available, you can add guests and guest dogs when booking.

Currently, we don't offer block bookings, this is something we're planning to add in future updates to the service.

Each listing provides useful dog park information, facilities, and rules. We recommend contacting the dog park directly if you have any questions relating to something not covered in the information shown.

Getting Started (as a Dog Park owner)

There's a £49 one-off setup fee for adding your Dog Park. We do not charge you anything to use the app for taking and managing bookings. We even take care of card payment processing fees! To cover our costs and keep the service free to Dog Park Owners and Operators, we pass on a £1 booking fee to customers when they book.

Nothing! For dog park owners the service and booking system is free to use. To cover our costs and fund the service, we pass on a £1 booking fee to customers when they book.

Your Park Owner Account

It's all automatic. Dogparks.uk uses Stripe, one of the worlds most trusted payment processors. You can take secure payments as bookings are made and then it connects to your bank so you can access funds as they clear. We'll need your details to set this up and for authorisation. And don't worry, we pay all the Stripe payment processing fees, not you.

When a customer makes a booking, their order and associated transaction details are displayed in your Park Manager Admin Area straight away. Once their booking is active (from the valid date/time) the funds are cleared by Stripe (our payment processors), you can withdraw cleared funds into your bank account.

Your Park Manager Admin Area displays a live view of daily bookings and advance bookings, so your always in control.

Your Listing

As long as you have accepted our Terms of Service, added all the information and content needed for your listing, we'll check it and once approved your dog park listing is usually live on dogparks.uk within 24-48 hours. You'll also need to verify your individual or company information and bank details with Stripe, our payment partners. This only takes a few minutes to do.

Of course. Using your Park Manager Admin tools, you can set and change your sessions, times and prices whenever you like. Dogparks.uk displays your prices, (including any tax where applicable). Our Booking Fee is shown separately. Remember, if you are VAT registered, you'll need to include VAT in the ticket prices you set.

No, not at all, you can take all your bookings using dogparks.uk, providing you have availability.

Not yet! We're working on adding an additional feature to allow dog parks to sell session blocks that customers can use over time as they need.

You'll need to create a separate listing for each park. This will make it easy for customers to find each park and increase your chance of sales. And alongside each listing we display associated parks, so customers can also see what else you offer on the same site, or elsewhere.
You can manage listings, sales, payments and accounting for all your parks from one Vendor dashboard.

Managing Bookings

We take security very seriously. Your Park Manager Admin Area shows the details for each unique session booking and these can be checked online or printed off and used for reference. Digital booking confirmations are sent straight to the customer's email, and mobile via SMS, so you or your team can simply ask to check and validate them accordingly. Each session booking is unique, with its own security code and only valid until the expiry date/time shown on the session booking, so if a customer doesn't have a valid booking you can easily see.

If for any reason the dog park can't fulfil a booking because the venue needs to close because of bad weather, or flooding, for example, you can offer the customer an alternative date/s and time, or if the customer requests, the booking can be refunded. Booking fees are non-refundable.
