5 Acres Canine Field is 5 Acres of grass paddock, secured by 1.8m high steel, mesh fencing with a secure drive-in release pen, located approximately 1.7miles out of Northallerton.

The 5-acre exercise field contains:

  • Environmental enrichments for dogs
  • Viewing hut in case of bad weather
  • Benches for sitting on, so don’t forget your flask!
  • Fresh Water
  • Dog waste bin provided (please use biodegradable poo bags)
  • Car park within the secure field
  • Views onto the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors

The canine exercise field is perfect for dogs with poor recall or for training or just to burn some energy.

The field is designed to be booked by one person at a time and the bookings are for 50 mins which allows time for no crossover to take place which is great for nervous dogs.

Rules

When making a booking to hire 5 Acres Canine Field, you agree to abide by the following:

GENERAL

  • To only attend the exercise field if your dog is up to date with vaccinations or Titre testing and can show evidence of this if asked. All dogs should be regularly wormed or egg counts done.
  • If your dog has developed kennel cough, sickness or diarrhoea in the last 72 hours please refrain from visiting the field.
  • Please do not arrive more than 5 mins early, and please keep your dog in your vehicle until the field is vacant.
  • When entering and leaving please be aware of any other dogs around and give them space.
  • Please ensure you close the gate securely behind you and your vehicle. You are responsible for making sure the gate is secure once inside.
  • Please discourage your dog / dogs from making excessive noise whilst using the field.
  • DO NOT allow your dog / dogs to dig holes
  • CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG / DOGS, use biodegradable poo bags if possible and use bins provided.
  • Please ensure you have left by the end of your session. So, 10 mins to the hour
  • Harsh handling of dogs is NOT allowed. Anyone using aggressive or unpleasant behaviour towards their dogs or other site users, or staff will be barred.
  • No parking on the grass within the fields please only park on hardstanding area.
